Submissions

Presentations at ICSIH7 will take two formats, equally prioritised by the Scientific Committee: spoken presentations and posters with blitz talks.

Please note that due to limited spaces for presenters, individuals can only give one presentation (either oral or poster). During submission, we will ask you to indicate your
preferred presentation format; if you are unsuccessful in being allocated your preferred format we may offer you to present in the alternative format.

Oral presentation: 10 min presentation with 3 mins for questions. This format is intended to provide equal opportunities for discussion and questions and be a rewarding and stimulating experience for all (presenters and audience).

Posters with blitz talks: at ICSIH7 we believe that posters are an equally valuable and worthwhile format for sharing research, and wish to strongly encourage submission of posters. Presenters will be asked to deliver talks to accompany their posters, as part of chaired “poster tours”.  Presenters will deliver brief (3min) overview of their work to successive groups of delegates during a single poster session (i.e., multiple blitz presentations back-to-back) followed by questions, providing dedicated space for discussion with other attendees. We are delighted to announce that Orla Muldoon (Queens University Belfast), Tegan Cruwys (Australian National University) and Alex Haslam (University of Queensland) will serve as discussants for these sessions. Posters will also be displayed throughout the week.

Further recognising the value of posters as a creative means of communicating research, we will be offering prizes for “best overall poster” and “most creative poster”. Winning posters will be celebrated at the conference closing session.
